Renewable Energy System Design Package

Complete Package $450.00

OFF-GRID will complete an energy audit and site analysis and then combine them with the level of participation you want to have with your energy to clarify what renewable energy systems and alternative sources to include or exclude from your system design. The system design will also consider the financial resources you have available to build a renewable power system. Alternative power systems can be built up a piece at a time in multiple phases. OFF-GRID can help you find both a way to get started, and to complete your system in affordable increments.

OFF-GRID will recommend and negotiate for the best price on the equipment for your renewable energy system.

System Design

$200 alone or part of Renewable Energy System Design Package above

OFF-GRID will design any type of renewable energy system to provide electricity, hot water, heating or water pumping whether it be for your home, ranch, farm or RV. We incorporate in our system designs any alternative energy sources available, your desired level of participation and consideration for your budget to create a system design that will meet all of your energy needs no mater how big or small.

Your system design will come complete with schematic, estimated energy production data, equipment list, manufacturer’s spec sheets and an estimated cost of all hardware.

All OFF-GRID designs include over current protection devices, disconnects, proper conductor sizing and are NEC code compliant.

Energy Audit

The first step towards using renewable energy is an energy audit. An energy audit will tell you how much energy you consume. Together we will list the appliances you use, how often you use them, and how much power they require. We will discuss and document how you use energy, what time of day the most energy is consumed, and how does your consumption level varies throughout the week. We will have an honest discussion about what you can and can not live without, and how you could reduce your power consumption, and what your realistic power budget will be.

Site Analysis

$200 alone or part of Renewable Energy System Design Package above

Each site has unique features, advantages and challenges. Sun, shade, wind speeds, availability of water, is all variables that will impact the design and effectiveness of a renewable power system. OFF-GRID will visit your physical location and identify the obstacles and benefits that the local environment presents. All of these factors will be explained to you and taken into account when OFF-GRID designs your power system.

Installation Coordination

Fixed price will be bid per job depending on size and complexity

OFF-GRID will coordinate, supervise and inspect the installation of your renewable energy system from beginning to end. We will price out the installation work, take care of the hiring, scheduling and supervision of qualified and experienced personnel and inspect all work through each stage of installation. When installation is complete you will have a user friendly, safe and NEC code compliant energy system.

System Maintenance or Trouble Shooting Service Calls

$60.00 per hour/plus $0.50 per mile; Minimum of 2 hours

OFF-GRID provides renewable energy system trouble shooting, analysis, and maintenance for any existing systems either designed by us or built by you or others.

OFF-GRID will make site visits to make service calls on an as needed basis. We will fill your battery bank, clean off your solar panels, do regular maintenance on wind generators, insure that your system has clean contacts in order to operate at maximum efficiency and let you know if a piece of equipment needs to be repaired or replaced.

System Support Package

$1200 per year includes monthly Monitoring, Maintenance, Trouble-Shooting, and Support

OFF-GRID will schedule regular monthly visits with you to monitor, maintain and troubleshoot your renewable energy system as outlined above. Monitoring insures that all components are functioning at peak levels and to recognize and inform you of any system failures. Effective system monitoring requires the purchase and installation of equipment for either on-site or remote monitoring. We will happy to discuss the options with you and as part of this support package we will teach you how to read your own monitoring equipment as well.

OFF-GRID is also available to Support Package Customers by telephone to answer questions or concerns that come up with your system between scheduled visits, and we will make up to 4 extra service call visits each year to repair any problems that occur at no extra charge. This support package is offered only as a pre-paid yearly contract.
